My 15 lariat has it. 3:31 gears EB. Only notice it when I'm pulling a trailer and only taking off from a complete stop.

My XLT 3.5EB 3:55 gear has had 0 issues with shudder. I have pulled about 8 different trailers/campers no issues at all. I will tell you this thing likes to turn tires over with a 10K trailer going up hill on a start... LOL kinda spooked me but had no issues with raising foot off the throttle to allow the grip back and away we go.

Mine is in the shop as I type for shudder on take off. With weight in the bed it gets much worse than being unloaded. I wouldn't even try to hook up a trailer at this point. 5.0, 6.5 box, 3.73, crew cab, Lariat w/ 2800 miles

I wasn't sure if it was me or what but when I step into it and it builds boost and pulls its like the power the turbo produces is in 15% increments and not a smooth steady increase. Like it pulls then pulls harder...then pulls harder again and my foot position is the same and that's throughout a full gear before it shifts up. 3.5 eco with 3:31.

Yup, mine shudders a bit while towing. I believe around 1500 rpms if I remember correctly. Its on my list of things to have checked out.
Does anyone know what causes this? Or is there a fix?
ecoboost/max tow/6.5 bed.

Hey guys,

If you're experiencing this concern, shoot me a PM with your rig's year, mileage, and whether it's been to the dealership or not. I'll see how I can best assist.
