Tailgate may unlatch. Parts to come later....Anyone else?

Got the letter last week that parts were now in. So I call the local dealer, they see the recall and say it should be half a day (like the letter say). Cool. Make appointment. Take time off work. Arrive at dealer and they say they need to inspect the tailgate, then determine if the latch needs to be replaced. Uh, ok. Tells me they need the truck over night. Uh, what? They don't give loaners or courtesy rides but I can rent a car for $75. Uh, no. So I take my truck and leave and will find another dealer. Not sure why I'm paying for a rental for their recall. And I have had at least two instances in which I was driving down the road and my tailgate opened on it's own. Thankfully I realized it pretty quickly and was able to shut it.

Water leak, unknown origin??

I have an issue I can't resolve. Up until August of this year, my 16 F-150 has been Garage kept. Our new home has a Garage that is too small and now my truck sits outside. Recently I have discovered the floor at the drivers seat is soaking wet. Today i noticed that the headliner around The Moon roof is stained Tom previous water between the rear window and the moon roof, And it was damp. Also under the full length floor mat in the rear is wet on drivers side. Nothing else is wet.?? I think it's leaking at the corner of the roof line where two pieces of rubber meet.
Anybody else have this problem? Or know of a solution?

Everyone with a Vista Roof has had this issue. More than likely the drain line is disconnected. There are a few videos and threads on how to fix it. It took me 10 minutes to fix. Very easy.

Saw this on Consumer Reports: Anyone have this fixed?BACK OVER PREVENTION

A rearview camera that displays a blank or distorted image can reduce the drivers view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019 F-150, Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 vehicles. Due to a poor electrical connection, the rearview camera may intermittently display a blank or distorted image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

What should you do:

Dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 20C19.

For more information:

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

The lease was coming to an end on mine, lease company demanded that I get the wiper arms replaced from the recall. Local dealer came by and did it, 10 minutes.

I figured it was no big deal until an associate told me about the time his wiper arms flew off in a driving snow storm.
