2015 Platinum
Just thought I would share my story-
I ordered my Platinum F-150 in August from my local dealer. I asked for it to be a stock order and was under the impression it was for the longest time. In October I learn it was a retail order all the way Along and was never ordered as a stock order. I was frustrated but I figured I couldn't order it from somewhere else because it would take even longer and it would be better to just stick to the once I had already.
So in December I am given a build date of Late January and an ETA of 2/15. I was p**d off but I thought to myself what could I do at this point? So I was up late looking on the Internet and I decide to go on Edmunds and look for Platinums in the area. And by a Christmas Miracle I find an identical platinum at a dealer 45 minutes away fully upgraded (except the max trailer tow package) for invoice price . So of course I'm excited beyond belief. The next morning I wake up as soon as the sales offices opened and inquire to see if the Platinum was available and Lo and behold it was. So I drove my dumb a** down to that dealership put 5% down and the Platinum is scheduled to arrive on 12/28. The dealer threw in LineX spray in Berliner and the process was amazingly quick and easy. So now I am 3-4 days away from a more upgraded truck with a better deal instead of waiting another month and a half. I recommend others that are waiting for their trucks to look into their local dealers and see if they have similar trucks on their lots. It made a whole lot of difference for me.
