2015 Lease question
Hi guys
Looking at leasing a 2015.
I was just about to sign when the finance guy says oh ya bring $1000 dollars when you come back with your void cheque.
He says half of that is the first payment ( not sure why you pay before hand) the other 500 was for tax on the COSTCO $1000 dollar re bate and the lease administration fee and $200 for 1 year registration.
Does paying $1000 on signing make sense to anyone here?

First months payment is always due at signing on a lease - yes, you pay first, then play.
There is also tax on any rebates, but those could have been rolled into the monthly payment.
As far as registration, that's a regional thing. In CO we don't pay that until we register the vehicle and get permanent license plates. And I wish it was only $200...
If you didn't want to pay any $ out of pocket at signing, you needed to negotiate a true $0 out of pocket lease, where all fees would be rolled into the payment.
