The picture is not clear, so can I ask a question or two?

1) Is the water coming through the headliner, or otherwise leaking into the vehicle?
- I ask this because, not many people know - there is a drainage system with all powered roofs. These typically have gutters, and drain tubes running down the a-pillars. This is not meant to handle a lot of water, there will be some.
2) Is there any wind noise coming from the roof?

I would recommend documenting this with the dealer. Even if they claim it is normal (no other intrusion into the vehicle), you want it noted for future service.

What have we become? We go from expecting a brand new vehicle to be built as it was intended to be built and problem free, to buying a brand new vehicle and expecting it to be sub par because it's not made by Toyota. As long as we expect it to be sub par, who can we complain to when that's exactly what we get?

OP: Take to the dealer for warranty. The moonroofs can be adjusted. I had the same problem (only in a auto carwash) and they adjusted and fixed it in about 15 minutes. Good Luck.

I'm surprised that one of the hands-on do-it-yourself forum members hasn't chimed in on how to approach this issue.

Hang on....My guess is that it's due to the aluminum, that stuff expands and contracts like no other metal known to man. It's very sensitive to temperature, come summer time when that "beer can" swells up, all leaks will be gone!

Lol, I'm glad someone gets it! In all honesty, I think Ford bit off way more than they can chew with a full aluminum makeover. But sadly, at the cost of the poor saps buying into the hype. Hope I'm wrong but I am betting I'm right....

Mine is leaking on the drivers side of the stationary glass. It snowed here and as it melted the next day it dripped through in one spot. I watched it when I went through the carwash and the entire drivers side let water spray through in that section. The very back seam and passenger side didn't let in a single drop. All water left the truck through it's water channel/gutter to the outside, no marks in the headliner or shade.

Willing to bet they will replace the entire moon-roof. Don't settle for a quick shot of sealant.
