Many of of have had numerous vehicles made by different manufacturers and they do not leak water into the vehicle, if they do, common sense tells you it's not right, a problem and or defective design! Cheap ineffective designs save manufacturers money but cost the consumer!

If a manufacturers doesn't own up to an obvious problem or defect, and attempts to confuse the owner with BS instead of stating yes we have a problem and dealing with it, that's really sad!

Called the customer service hotline last night. Expressed my concerns, and was given a case#. This allows the dealership service manager to view my call and read what was discussed....not really sure how this is a solution to the problem but hopefully they will actually do something.

Before i called I took a 12 oz. bottle of water and poured in in the middle of the roof where the 2 panles meet. Got in the back and noticed water was coming into the tray. I like the above techhotline paper stating it is designed to keep a cascading rainstorm out, yet mine will not keep a bottle of water out with absolutly no pressure behind it.

The service manager handed me the paper we have all seen stating from Ford's "engineers" that this roof was designed to leak and it is not reccomended to take it through any car washes that use pressure. I asked for a number to Ford, I plan to call and express my frustrations with the "design" and that I would have never thought about purchasing a vehicle with a sunroof that was designed to leak into a drain tray. Also I only had my truck 9 out of 31 days in January, other times it was at the dealer.

For all the guys on this forum blasting us 2015 owners about buying the first year listen up.......the service manager and the dealership manager told me they took a 2016 F150 Platinum and sprayed it and it too was leaking. Guess waiting doesnt keep your roof from leaking.

Looks like our best alternative is to call Ford, 1-800-392-3673, and express our concerns.

P.S. if you do not want the possibility of water in your new truck or condensation all over the inside after rain.... don't waste the $1600.00 just to make your truck an F-1LEAKY.

I went this route and all they offered was a 5 year 75 mile warranty or maintenance contract. Nothing else they are allowed to do. After having my truck 5 days and dealer having it 40. Im forced to make a payment. Totally in the truck now for $16,126 with 360 miles on the truck. Moonroof still leaks. Just when I thought I was done and wave the white flag. My new truck has scratches on the door that are going to require the door to be removed and repainted, the panels between the windows scratched up, another scratch by the back window. Truck still have feet prints on the bed liner I bought during the few days I had my truck, finger prints all over the moonroof. I don't know how GM shook my hand knowing my troubles were not over. Too many nights of no sleep dealing with this. I was not told what Ford has done for other customers that don't like to see water coming into the vehicle? If anyone has contacted an attorney please contact me. Im writing an email to the owner of the 5 DWF dealerships and see what he thinks about my experience. Will the nightmare end?

I plan to contact an attorney if the issue is not handled. A Google search will show there are some attorneys looking into a lawsuit.

I want a truck without a sunroof or i want a true fix from Ford and not just letters saying it was designed to let rain water in.

You all need to find my old posts in this thread and see how I solved it. The water short circuits the seal where the seal end of the side piece presses against the seal of the front panel. The seal end of the side piece is hollow. Needs filled in with vinyl repair goo or shoe goo.

John get an atorney. Lemon law states if you knew the defect was there at the time of buying would you still have purchased it. Probably not. A good lawyer can get you out of it if your state recognizes that law. Im currently in that process. Ill keep yall updated

Just get ready for a long process. I have a friend that is doing a lemon law on his 15 F150 and it's slow. Ford admits they are slammed with lemon law cases with these new trucks.

Luckily my twin panel roof keeps water out of the truck like it supposed too even in the car wash. It's been through a automatic car wash alot also.

Now water just barely drips in on that center area but runs in the gutters and out. No issues.

My wife's Honda CRV If you take it through the car wash not a single drop get it at all. But it's a Honda... LOL and is a more thought out that what Ford does with there vehicles.

Im sure it is Ken. I have also had other vehicles with sunroofs and vener had an issue. This one is just ridiculous. I could have filled a 20oz cup with rain water that was pouring from the overhead console buttons into the cab of my truck and as lond as it was raining the water kept coming. That was the fist issue 3 days after purchase. Next time it rained water was pouring from onder the dash on the driver side. Now im dealing with electrical issues. I've probably been out of the truck 40+ days in frst 2 months ive had it. This is my second 15 f150 also. Just hasnt been a good experience for. 60k dollar truck.

Wow I feel for you that just sucks. You have more patience than I.

I have my issues and will eventually trade the truck in for an older one. These new F150's suck IMHO.

If that was me I would no longer own that truck, I would let them have it back. But yes if it's been that long I would seek the Lemon Law for sure right now...

It's unfortunate because ford has done a terrible job handling this situation. Which is only hurting Fords reputation and turning people to other truck brands. I can't wait to see the first person switch to a Chevy truck because "ford sucks" when in all reality it was just the poor handling of a moonroof issue... Smh...
