Default 2015 Lariat reverse lights

I've been shopping and comparing reverse lights for my 2015 Lariat. Then I saw a reference to this forum and someone said that if you have the proximity sensors in the taillight housing that the bulbs are not replaceable. Is this true?

The reason they are not replaceable is because that section of the taillight assembly is sealed.

I looked into it right after I bought my 2015 in March 2015. If you have BLIS the LEDs are non serviceable because they are part of the sealed tail light assembly.

So can you get the tail light assembly with some better back up lights? The ones in there suck for backing up.

On the tail light, what color wire feeds the reverse light? I’m installing aux lights and can’t pull it from the trailer connections without it disabling my BLIS.

I changed the reverse bulbs in my taillights to led and they still weren't acceptable, so I went with some under the bumper LED pod lights that are the best.

I bought a set of Rigids that I mounted under the bumper and they work GREAT!

Highly recommend the bumper mounted LED pods. You can tap into the trailer reverse circuit for automatic on/off.
