Default 2015 was keyed...

Well, over the thanksgiving weekend here in Canada my 2015 SCREW was keyed while parked overnight on the street near my house. 3/4 doors have damage as well as the tailgate. The scratches aren't overly deep, but it's still going to cost a pretty penny to repair. Not sure who does this sort of thing for no reason. I was parked perfectly and no other vehicles in the area were damaged (that I could see).

One question I had was whether or not I should bring the truck to a Ford body shop rather than a 3rd party? I'm just not sure about how other body shops will handle the aluminum. Any thoughts? Want my truck fixed as soon as possible!

Sounds like the wife found out about the girlfriend...

I'd take it to a Ford body shop certified for aluminum repair.

Take it to ford your insurance will pay for it, so I would take it to the dealer.

Sorry the hear about this, people just see nice stuff and want to damage it just for fun.

If it's just paint, take it somewhere you trust. Painting aluminum is the same as steel. Aluminum body vehicles have been around for years. Drag your fingernail in it, if it catches it needs paint. If not, most of it can be buffed

People that are jealous of your new truck decide to do ignorant crap like this. My Roush Mustang once got keyed outside of a restaurant. Luckily they had cameras, the excuse the person gave was "people who drive stuff like that always think they're better than everyone else".

I get what you're saying. It's such a cowardly act to put your own jealousy ahead of someone else's hard work. On a side note, I've talked to the (Chevy) dealership the truck was parked near about checking their security cameras for any hint of who decided to do this. Hopefully we can get a licence plate or something...

Ironic that the act was proof that person is inferior. But, s/he probably doesn't understand irony, anyway.

It's a shame, but certainly not a surprise considering how jealous some people are, that some jerk feels the need to do this. Hope whomever you get to fix her, gets her as good as new soon.

I usually say that about people in an Infinity... its always some ******* in an Infinity!!!!

I would never key someone's car though, that's just proof that you are a weak person.

in 2012

My brother got a 2012 Ford Explorer, brand new...
My company refreshed my work van (2012 model as well)...

We were parked at his apartment watching some football on a Sunday night. When the game was over, I went outside to see a concrete core sample, smashed through my windshield and a nice dent on the hood. They keyed "Pig" and "Cop" in all his doors and rear quarter panels.

All this to two vehicles that were not even two weeks old.

To make matters worse, it was my wife's car....turns out it was disgruntled waiter that just got off his shift heading home.
