Wifey has the '15 5.0 4x4 and I find even in sport mode the trans is a slush box and the engine is dead asleep below 3k rpm.

You got fixes for this?

5-Star's tuning can help a bit with that low RPM sluggishness. Their Performance/Tow tunes increase overall power and adjust your transmission's shift points and shift pressures to be both more responsive and generate more low-end torque. Going with a 91 or 93 octane Performance/Tow tune would especially help.

Since the engine is roughly the same, you can gauge the results by checking out the reviews on the 2011-2014 F150 5.0L X4 with 5-Star's custom tunes.
