Default 2015 F150 5.0l V8 loud knocking after it warms up

Has anyone else got this problem. It is getting louder and it's embarrassing. I have an appointment tomorrow at the local Ford dealer. The engine just now has 40000 miles on it

Holy crap.... I’m interested in what the dealership says about that. How many miles?

I'd say someone slipped a 3.0PSD under the hood on you... but it's not even that loud!

That does sound horrible! Only thing I can think of that would explain that sound without being catastrophic would be an exhaust leak.

You can make it six months with a rod knock, but you could also blow up in the driveway if he keeps revving it like he was doing in the video. Exhaust leaks tent to have a little hiss to them and that doesn't sound like it to me. Hopefully I'm 100% wrong but I think that sound in the video sounds serious.

Sadly, I agree. Hoping for the best though.

Hard to tell from a sound clip on cheap laptop speakers, but just doesn't sound like a rod knock to me....seems too high pitched/tinny.

Hope it's not too serious, good luck. Let us know the final outcome.

I agree it's hard to tell over the net but it sounds more like valve-train noise than a rod knock.

It sounds like it is high in the engine. Like maybe the valve train. Listen when I rev it, it seems to be not exactly with the engine. The engine just now has 40000 miles on it
