Default 2015 f150 5.0 lifter noise?

I have a new 2015 f150 with less than 3000 miles on it it has 3.55 gears. I was towing my 7400 lb camper today (loaded about 8100lbs). I'm am not impressed with the towing, it shifts constantly and it sounds like the engine is overworking itself. As i was towing i came upon in intersection and it did the hill decent thing. Engine revved up slowed down truck then made my turn. Then as i accelerated there was a loud lifter noise (I mean Loud) at about 3000rpm before it shifted into next gear then it went away suddenly. When i got home about 15 min later it sounded ok no lifter noise but smelled really hot even though all gauges were ok and tranny at 208 temp. Sense I've had the truck i have heard intermittent lifter noise at idle, also the low end knock that some people experience. So my ques is, is this a normal for a 5.0. Does this engine have lifters? If not what would cause the noise i described? would appreciate any info. Hopefully Ford will stand behind me if there is a problem!. My 2006 5.4 never had these issues. thx
