2015 F-150 - Squawk During 6-3 And/Or 5-3 Downshifts ***SSM 46494***)

I replaced the fluid and filter. The fluid was mud brown - the mechanic described it as burned - is that unusual with 75,000 miles? Previous owner did a lot of highway towing. Thankfully no sign at all of metal shavings in the fluid, though it is squawking more. I'm getting _really_ good at not punching it and keeping the downshifts to one gear at a time....

I've got a 2016 doing it at 99k miles. Anyone know if Ford updated the overdrive plates in 2016 after the TSB in 2015 and if the XL-16 6R ATF Additive was added to the 2016 transmissions from the factory?
Had my trans serviced about 10k miles ago. It hadn't squawked until afterwards. I know the XL-16 is not in there now. Just ordered a tube. Hoping that's all I need!

2016 squawk when accelerated
Hi,we just bought a 2016 2wd v6 , and every time we accelerate hard we get that squawk sound, ( saw a video posted it sounds exactly like that )I've seen it brought up in several different forums, it definitely makes it when it's shifting mechanic had mentioned possible spider gears? Has anyone found a good answer for the problem yet?

The Ford friction additive XL-16 can be used as a last resort, but simply doing a pan drop and filter change and refill with ford LV fluid should be the first step, these trannys need more frequent fluid changes, especially if it every got overheated.
