Default 2015 f-150 5.0 0-60

Just wanting to see if any of you with the 5.0 in your '15 would be willing to make a video of your 0-60 or any kind of acceleration for us. There is already stuff on YouTube of the ecoboost motors but I really want to see and hear the 5.0 from actual owners.

Did you check out The Fast Lane Truck's video on drag times? They don't do 0-60, but they do all the motors.

I did see that one and thanks for posting it in case some others have not. It's crazy to me just how little is out there on the 5.0. Of course we will all know a good bit more after the shootout results are posted from pickup trucks.com this week.

Agreed on the 5.0 sentiments. I bet they put so much money behind the Eco they want the 5.0 to be the quiet one in the corner.

I read somewhere that the Eco screw was 0-60 in mid 5 second range. So the 5.0 would likely be somewhere in the 6 second range. I didn't see anything in the 1/4 mile.

This 5.0 truck should be faster than the outgoing due to lower weight and more power (duh right). Both engines are under rated by ford....

All in all I'm less concerned about times that my truck could accomplish, because lets be honest, I'm never taking mine to the track.

It's all about what you're comfortable with, I've had a 5.0, familiar with it, and would feel most comfortable owning that one for a long duration. Not to say the 3.5 Eco won't, I am risk-adverse.

I have been very happy with my ecoboost for almost two and a half years but am interested in going back to a v8 next time.

Anyone notice that on the second 5.0 run at the 5 minute mark of the video, they cut the video as the board is going to show the time? Maybe it was way better or worse the the first 5.0 time. That run sounded better than the first.

3 weeks until I get my 5.0 with the 3.73. You can bet your *** there will be some videos once that Coyote is broken in.
