I like those power and tow numbers for the 2.7. Imagine that in a lighter F150 or better yet a 2016 Ranger :-)

This is a truck forum, F150 to be exact...not mustang!
I did it to spark interest, and it is related to the F-150 in terms of engine sharing from the mustang.

Leftlane News reports the 5.0 as "outgoing". Did I miss something? Is Ford not offering the 5.0 in the 2015 F150?

That is weird they would write that. Every thing I have read is that the 5.0 is here to stay, they even did changes to it for 2015. Wonder if they meant to say the 6.2 that is being discontinued.

The LeftLaneNews article that I read said "outgoing 3.7-liter V6", not V8.

I guess we're on the same page, but I was referring to paragraph #3, you to paragraph #2. Oh well, I never saw the original article, so I don't know what was modified. In the comments following the article, somebody else noted the 'outgoing 5.0' reference.

I am interested in the mpg numbers on that 2.7L as well. I don't tow very much or very often but it looks like it can tow alright.
