Does anyone know if Ford changed anything on the 3.5 eco for the ‘15 model year? Tried searching but came up with nothing. Thx

 

No changes until 2017.

 

So timing chain issues will still persist along with oil leaks, etc?

 

Yes, a major change.

They added the active shutters to modulate the amount of air going into the intercooler. This most likely avoids the intercooling condensation issues they had on the 2011 - 2014 models. Although I think 2013 and 2014 mostly had the issue solved.

What about them? Only issues I've heard were on the new 2017 Gen 2 3.5L and that was fixed for the remaining years.

 

How are you not aware of timing problems for ‘11+ engines?
