Hey guys, I only have 1 key and need to program the door code on my new to me 2015 XLT. Every video or post starts with "take both your keys" so I am not too sure what to do..

 

I didn't think to re-program the keyless entry you needed a key at all, just to program a new key maybe?

I do not have the 5 digit code in wallet card... Thats the other concern/issue.

What are you trying to do? Find out the factory-set 5 digit code? Or, program own code?

The factory code can be found with 2 original (not cloned) keys, OR you can find it printed on a label in the truck. Location depends on year of truck, but the passenger fuse box behind the kick panel is a likely location. Google your model year and code location and you'll find references.

If you know the factory code, then you can program your own code(s) following instructions in your manual. You do not need 2 keys. The factory code can not be changed.

If you want to make another original key, you do need two keys, or you need to buy a key, get it cut, and programmed as an original key by a locksmith or dealer.
