I used the plastic outside of it and metal screws instead of the male plastic parts. That way it don't matter what material the screws are because they won't make contact with the metal hood.

Ford parts are suppose to take into account the galvanizing corrosion risk with steel vs aluminum connections and utilize a interference medium or have the screws and connectors coated with an inhibitor.

All right. So I just got an AVS Aeroskin, and it's really barely noticeable on my Magnetic Metallic truck which is terrific.
It will give a near-perfect fit . . .However, when I dry fit it, the AVS logo is upside down. Of course this is minor, and I'll never know when I'm driving it, but MAN it bothers me. Is the logo on yours upside down?
I assume the logo is removeable, so it's not like I'll make them send me a new one.

It's still holding up pretty well actually. I'm quite happy with it. It's deflected birds over the windshield, been through 120 degree summer and is currently going through a frigid upper midwest winter, and doing very well.
