My 2015 is the XL model with the little screen for the radio (maybe 4" across) but doesn't have the backup camera. I busted my tailgate handle a few days ago and when looking for a new one one I realized the camera is part of the handle on so equipped models. Am I able to buy a handle with a camera and plug it in? I know it was an option on my truck so it probably has capability, but I'm wondering if the wires would have been run to the tailgate? If they aren't run to the tailgate, then could I run a wire up forward to plug in somewhere?

I've made it 5 years without a camera, but if it's not too much work I would love to have one. I tow almost daily and it sure would be nice for hooking trailers up.
