Replaced a failed camera 6 months ago with the Dorman replacement. The Dorman failed so I ordered and replaced it again. My issue is they use a two peice camera that has a rubber seal. Does anyone know if the oem is two piece. Water got in as you can see in the attached photos and wondering if it’s worth getting the oem.
I installed this camera right in the tailgate handle to the right of the latch. I drilled a hole and popped it in. The camera includes a drill bit. Pulled the inside access panel to route the wires and it was easy to install. Just be careful to use the shortest path for running the wire as I barely had enough to make it to the head unit in my 2015 SCrew.
