Default 2015 5.0 real world fuel mileage

Just took a trip from home (Rhode Island) to work in Arizona. Speeds traveled were from 65 to 85. Cruise set most of the time. This was the overall data from the trip. Hand calculated as well and showed only about .2 mpg difference. Truck is 100 stock. Screw 6.5 bed lariat with 5.0 and 3.73 gears 2015 5.0 real world fuel mileage-image.jpg

Wow, you've put some miles on her in 25 days! I guess I need to stop using Sport mode and ease up on the gas because I've gotten 14.7 MPG. I have the 5.0 with 3.55 gearing and just turned over the 1,200 mile mark. It's just so hard staying off the gas.

My experience similar to JBrax. Five weeks, 1k miles so far, and averaging 15.1 MPG since purchase. Varied driving types in accordance with engine break-in recommendations. Mine is the 5.0L w/3.55 gears, SCrew & 5.5' bed.

2015 5.0 real world fuel mileage-image.jpgMy overall life of fuel mileage is sitting at 18.6 since I bought it. The wife does a lot of around town driving with it.

My experience is similar to the OP. 100% city, I'm 17-18 (last tank was 17.8). Cruising at 65-70, 21+. 75+, about 19-20. Screw, 4x4, 3.55 gears with 10k miles. Love the fuel economy so far.

I believe all trim levels do. If you hit your tow/haul button just hit it again and a "S" will appear where the tow haul normally is.

Month old truck and I'm still getting a chuckle from learning new things. I thought I just bought a truck...heh.

Btw, I'm upto 18 mpg Hwy from the original 17 after 2500 mi. Hoping for a couple more cuz I'm pretty easy going on the throttle. I do tend to drive 75-80 mph on cruz control though.
