Headlights, my '12 XLT never impressed me to much in that department, how are the '15 XLT headlights compared the the previous models for seeing good at night?

what else have those of you that came from the last body style found that you really like more on the '15 model year??

thanks!
Any way you can swing a Lariat??

I have seen many that were ordering state they were able to get it at invoice price plus they have a $1,000 rebate on the 15s.

Have a dealer check with Vincent and see if you have the $750 private cash offer. Apparently that is based off zip code for previous Ford owners, but not 100% sure. That could be $1750 total off invoice.

That should be some where around or close to $8,000 off MSRP.

These 15s are so quite and just love the way the doors sound when you close them, like a Mercedes. Rust free body and lighter weight ect. ect. Plus all the extra's the Lariat would bring!

Just a thought

Rebates, incentives, ETC dont really play into this decision on the '14 VS '15 for me in this case as Ford is finally replacing my truck after all the issues i have had with it so it comes down to sticker price differences on what i had VS what i get with next.

That being said the 2015's they found that were a screw 6.5 bed in dark grey with ecoboost have a more options on them than my current 2012 has so i am trying to see what everyone else see's as big improvements over the old body style in the same package to see if its worth the extra $$ for the model year changes itself. i dont have an issue paying for the added options on the '15 they found just trying to see what people think of the model year changes themselves alone if they seem worth the additional $$.

thanks!

Gotcha!!

I traded in a 13 KR with very low miles to get the same in a 15 because of the differences in available options and just the difference in the truck it self. It feels much more refined, quite and because of the weight difference I guess quicker and more stable.

Like a totally different truck and better in every way.

Have you had a chance to test drive one??

Looking into a crystal ball I see more regret down the road if you don't get the 15.

No i have not, the dealer only found one truck in 2015 that had what i wanted and its 300+ miles away so he does not know if he can get the dealer trade done with that dealer since they never dealt with them before. So i have not driven the '15 as i dont want to if it turns out i cant get one otherwise i might not like the '14 after driving the '15!!!

In my search for a new truck over the past month I concluded the difference in price between a 2014 with extra rebates and a 2015 was not as great as I thought it would be. I was looking at a loaded 2014 FX4 for around $45k (not trading a vehicle so not eligible for that additional rebate). I am not heavily leaning toward a 2015 XLT 302A or Lariat 502A. The 2015s are not hard to find at invoice (or slightly under) with rebates - currently $1k on the Lariat and $2k on the XLT. The loaded XLT comes out to around $42k and the loaded Lariat around $49k. So the 2015 Lariat is around $4k more than the 2014 FX4 and is a VERY different truck with options not available on the 2014s (not just LED headlamps!)

I say go 2015 and don't look back. The more difficult decision for me is whether to pay the additional for the Lariat over the XLT. Good luck!!

But, if you want the pretty LEDs, buy a 2015.

We have loaded FX4's in Houston for upper 30's. So the savings is more substantial between the two...

Loaded 2014 FX4s with leather in the 30s?? I found some 2014 cloth FX4s in that range after rebates, but after searching a dozen or so dealers could not get much better than invoice less about $4k in rebates.

Haven't seen any loaded fx4 crewcab that heavily discounted. What I'm seeing is around 40.

I was struggling with the same question. My local dealer was having a great sale on the 2014s 13k off msrp. I went down and test drove a nicely equipped 5.0. I liked it but decided to test drive the 2015 2.7 eco boost. To me no comparison. I was sold on the 2015. I made a very good deal and am thrilled with my new truck. My advice is go drive them for yourself back to back.
