2 Issues...? 2018 XLT
First off, I'm in MI and this polar vortex SUCKS! And I'm a snowmobiler and love winter... But I can't really look into these two issues myself cause it's just too damn cold! My dealership is about 20 minutes away, so if no one know a simple fix, I will bring it in and have them address them as my truck is not even a month old, and only about 900 miles on it...
1 - The past 2 days I've been in 4wd because everything is ice. When turning left, I've been noticing a creaking/moaning. Not every time, but often. Have yet to notice it turning right, Switched it back to 2wd for a few miles and it was still doing it, so I don't THINK it is 4wd related. Looked under both front wheel wells and didn't see anything obvious jumping out at me, also no major snow packed in there. Any ideas?
2 - The glove box flopped open on me yesterday under normal acceleration. and I also noticed that there is a gap where you can see into the glove box between the "door" and the little shelf area. After it flopped open on me, and I got home, I looked into it a little... Putting my finger into the gap would just pop the glove box open without using the latch/handle. I did not see any adjustment for either side of the latch, but also did not take anything apart. Checked my dads truck (2018 Lariat) and his shuts tight, and can not be pulled open. I would imagine this should be an easy fix, just don't really wanna stand out in the driveway to diagnose in minus 20 degree wind chills...
Any advice would be appreciated, If not, I will make an appointment for it to go in next week...
Thanks!
