Default 2.7L Idle Shimmy/Shake

Hey guys, First time posting. Thanks for all your help so far! 2016 Screw 2.7L XLT

When I turn Auto Start/Stop off with the dash button and come to a stop it feels like engine goes to shut off, but at the last moment, kicks back on. It feels like a mini shake. This continues every 15-20 seconds while at a stop.

Anyone else feel this?

I notice as well in my 2015 XLT. Only happens during the initial "I think I need to shut off". As if it's about to shut off and then it checks the computer and goes "nope not this time", better keep going.
Mine is subtle but definitely there. Doesn't bother me.

I notice mine too, and was thinking the same thing. I recently saw another more detailed thread on this but I'll be danged if I can find it.

Mine sometimes shakes at idle, almost like the idle rpm is set too low and it's on the verge of stalling. I'm tempted to get a Livernois tune and have the idle bumped up slightly. Then also use the tuner to turn off the auto stop/start because it annoys me.

Same issue with mine. I have the start/stop override mod and I also think it "tries" to stop and is overridden by the switch. Not sure if it's just annoying or an issue.

Sounds like I'm not alone. It is subtle. Not something a passenger would mention, but definitely feel it in the brake pedal/steering wheel. I'm hoping it could be fixed, but I'm sure it's 'normal.'

I have the same with mine, and it only does it when the S/S is off after pressing the button in the dash. As others have described, it is exactly like yours with a shimmy/shake every 10-20 seconds, and feels as if it's going to turn off, but doesn't. Seems like a lot of us are experiencing this on our 2.7's. I do watch the RPMs, and they don't seem to fluctuate with the shimmy.

Maybe the AC compressor...when it cools off I'll turn the AC off and see if it still does it.
