Default 2.7EB plugs.. stock heat range or 1 step colder?

its time to change plugs in my 2015 2.7 EB. Have CAI , cat back and a tune. Wondering what others are doing for plugs. Are you using OEM stock heat range or something else maybe 1 step colder? Recommend gap? I’ve always run ngk plugs in my vehicles. Never owned a ford though. So not sure how finicky they are with plugs.

Have you checked with your tuner for recommendations?

IIRC some with tuned 2.7L kept the stock plugs and dropped the gap from 0.028 to 0.026.

Yeah I would ask whoever made your tune if they have suggestions.

if there is more boost I would maybe consider a 1 step colder plug if you can find one. (I'm not going to assume they exist in all applications)

If you have no issues with stock - I would maybe keep them there and stock gaps too. I

The factory plug SP542 are sufficient, they are a colder heat range than the SP550. Gap them at .026 - .028 and you will be fine.
