They are only applying a factory TSB fix for the driver seat cooling. The passenger seat will remain defective until you receive your truck and then start complaining to the dealer.

Per a prior post the Ford website now allows the 2.7L and 502A combo.

I will work with a few local dealers to determine best pricing for my options list.

Ruby Red Metallic
2x4
5.5' Bed
2.7L
502A
Sport Pkg (I'll ask for the Sport Decals to be deleted)
Tailgate Step
Side Steps
Pano Moonroof
Spray In Bed Liner
Wheel Well Liners

Ford:
Be advised. If the truck has malfunctioning driver's and/or passenger's seat coolers, I will not accept delivery. I will be armed with an IR thermometer.

I haven't had any problems with my AC/heated seats in my 2015 lariat. As far as the 2.7 vs the 3.5, I preferred the 3.5. Proven torture tests set up. Anytime you start turning the engine on/off 100x a day that's never going to be good long term

IMO, the 2016 Lariat seats are no better than the 2015 pre-tsb seats. Further, insofar as the inflatable lumbar bladder is concerned, IMO the 2015-16 Lariat seats are far worse in that the lumbar support, when "fully" deflated, is far too prominent to allow comfortable sitting. It seems that the crack engineers and designers at Ford feel that dangling wires, tags, netting, and labels are suitable for unobstructed view in a $50,000+ truck

They all suck compared to my 2013 Lariat. It offers a far more comfortable and manageable lumbar support and seat heating/cooling that can be overwhelming in its effectiveness.

Shame on you Ford. It seems that you knowingly charge more money for an inferior and admittedly flawed product.

Indeed

5 quotes so far with each asking the all too often asked question:

"Where do I have to be to earn your business."

Who cares what the actual temperature is. Sit your *** in it and see if it is sufficient. If it isn't, don't buy it.

Show up with an IR thermometer and you won't be doing anything but wasting your time. As said above, some customers just aren't worth the effort.

this is the interwebz, even easier to be an expert than by staying at a holiday inn.

And I look forward to the scenario when he finds the seats dont work " I'm not going to take delivery of the truck I ordered at a super discounted price because the seats dont work and even Ford doesn't know how to fix them but I hold you responsible" "Bye, dont let the door hit you on the way out"
