This forum is awesome and really helpful in figuring out my first truck purchase.

I noticed in the 2016 order guide on page 2 under options/packages added that the 2016 Lariat can be had with the 502a and 2.7EB.

In 2015, lariat with the 2.7 engine were restricted to the 501a so it seems like a nice update to those who want LED headlights and the 2.7 engine.

From what I was reading the 2.7 is actually the standard engine now.

Looks like the same options as the '15 (the 2.7L was the standard engine on the base Lariat).

It does look like the 2.7L will be available w/ the 502a, which is awesome, but if you add the ACC (or Tech Package), it excludes the 2.7L.

Of course! The 502A package is the only thing that I couldn't get on my 15' with the 2.7. Leave it to Ford to update it the next year!

I hear ya, thats what I get for buying the first model year, oh well, still love my F150 and the 2.7 engine.

HOWEVER

The Ford website will not allow a 2.7L and a 502A lariat screw

To enable the 502A option, I had to select a larger engine.

I called Pat at the Ford customer service center and she is looking into the matter.

Could be a website glitch carry over from 2015?

Or, does the "(Late Availability)" mean that this combination won't be available until later in the model year?

I just heard from my local dealer who relayed a conversation he had this morning with his manufacturing/factory rep/liason.

The 2.7L engine mated to a 502A equipment group won't be manufactured until the 2nd quarter of 2016.

I ordered a 2.7 with a 502A back in midSeptember . My dealer told me back in mid October "Right now, they are saying late delivery.
We are looking at January or February.". Maybe it's 2nd quarter of production cycle?
