Have you tried comparing actual fill up gallons to miles driven MPG?

If you had a similarly equipped 2010 model, it came with a 26-gallon tank vs the 23-gallon tank you have now. 350 miles with the new vs 300 miles with the old represents about 32% better fuel efficiency over what you had before.

17,550 and 22.9 mpg since the dealer lot fense, am tempted to take my air dam off too just for looks either or drop it lower for looks. Where it is seems all wrong to me and I keep looking at it and it seems to need an inch lower or off entirely.

I live and drive mostly in the suburbs. Mine shows 19.5 life time mileage at 10K miles.

I'm only a couple thousand miles in so I'll tentatively enter here what I believe to be gospel. (Fuelly will spill it over time)

There *may* be some wonder-trucks with David Copperfield as their pilots.....BUT......Here's what I believe to be gospel for the truck that most of us are driving....

15-17 Screw 302a with minimal variances in accessories/appointments

City -----> 16
Mixed ----> 18
Highway ----> 22

That's it. No more. No less.

After the 2008 revisions.....I am still very disappointed in the bureaucracies (EPA) that decide it's ok to lie to us even AFTER they've made revisions to their own testing which are TO THIS DAY.....unrealistic at best and deceitful at worst.

I was hoping for more, but at least now I know what I've got. I still love my truck & don't think I'd do better elsewhere.....I just hope it helps anybody else settle into the reality that 19/26 is just not realistic. 16/23 is!

But at the very least, you can't rule out the possibility that some of us get the EPA mileage or better. It's not practical to say that 19/26 is impossible when some of us are getting it.
