Default 1st Mod, sorta?

Just finished installing the Ford tailgate dampener strut and it's so nice. Don't have remote operation as I'd imagine this piece comes from the factory if equipped with remote opening. I especially like that its all hidden behind the taillight for a clean look. My son loves to open the tailgate and pull the step out. At least now the opportunity for a concussion is reduced.

I highly recommend this to anyone with a truck that needs it.

I had a 2005 Silverado way back when. Had a wheelbarrow sitting behind the truck when I unlatched the tailgate and let it drop.... Needless to say, had the truck had a tailgate damper, would have prevented a huge dent!

I got mine installed 2 weeks ago. It's so easy and a great feature! For how little it costs, it ought to be standard on every truck!
