What he said. The load range "C" tires are standard on an HDPP and as an option. If you don't plan on hauling, towing or off road cruising, you'll be fine with P-metic tires. The big difference is the sidewall of each.

On my 2017, I don't remember the LT's being an option unless you went with the FX4 package. Since I didn't want the FX4, I could not get them. The P-metric Wranglers are garbage. Weak side walls give me a "loose" feeling in the back end while towing. Between these tires and the squishy rear suspension, this truck is terrible while pulling a boat compared to my 2007.

What is the difference and what make/model are each? There is no information - only options.

Thanks in advance!

Lt tires are stronger tires....basically it is the load rating....not sure if they are "C" rated (that means they are a 6ply tire)...they could be "E" rated =10 ply up to 80lbs of tire pressure.
You could check with the local tire dealer for this rating. just give him that LT number ....LT tires tipically ride a little harsher ; but if it is a "C" rated tire you probably can't tell any difference......make sure to adjust your tire pressures to your load for maximum ride & performance & you will be fine!!

Ah yes...An option with max tow. It's been a year now since I was looking so it fell off the plate.

When I purchased my 2018, it had the same options you are referring to. The window sticker did not list the tire model, only the size, including the LT.
The std 18" tires were Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude.
The XLT sports or Lariats with dressed up machined painted 18" wheels had the Michelin's.
The optional LT rubber was Goodyear Wrangler All-Adventure with Kevlar.

The LT option had a $350 upcharge (according to the window sticker)

.

If I'm not mistaken they came mounted on the HDPP wheels which have a higher weight rating.

No idea if that is true or not. My wheels are the 18" PVD chrome.

According to the 2018 brochure, the LT tires only come with the FX4 or the HDPP trucks. I don't have an FX4 and pretty sure it's not a HDPP. However the build sheet and the door jamb sticker both refer to the LT's that were on it from the factory.

Pretty sure you're right, for 2019 HDPP is definitely not available for a 302a truck, or a 2.7L, pretty sure that combo couldn't get it in 2018 either. There is a 2.7 payload package, but for '19 at least that is also not available on a 302a.

I ordered my truck with the C rated LT tires (Goodyear All Terrain w Kevlar) purely for better puncture resistance. They’ve been great. 3 years and still going strong. I have lots of punctures in the past with P tires.

Good information, thank you. At this time, there isn't a lot of information available on these tires.
