Default 175,000 Trouble Free Miles

Since a lot of times folks come on here to post about problems with their trucks, I wanted to post about how awesome my truck has been. I picked it up in September of 2015 and it currently has 176,000 miles on it. It is a 302a XLT FX4 5.0 factory ordered with the 3.73 rear end. I did have to replace the fuel tank bleed off valve, but that was only $35 and about 15 minutes. I have run full synthetic since new and changed oil every 7500 miles. Changed spark plugs at 100,000, new brakes at 145,000, and all fluids replaced at 150,000. The factory tires lasted 83,000 miles and the Michelins I replaced them with currently have 93,000 on them with plenty of tread left. I have worked this truck since the first week of owning it, and it has been the most reliable vehicle I have had.

That’s awesome! Can you elaborate on oil change interval and fluids you’ve used?

Edit: never mind to my question, I need to read better lol.

I have always used a Motorcraft filter and ran Valvoline full synthetic. All other fluids are Motorcraft.

Thanks for posting this. I think there are a lot more people out there with trouble free trucks. If you just come on here you would think they all break.

Fantastic!! My truck doesn't have near the miles your does but it too has been flawless. I feel like it will last forever. Normally I would have bought a new one already but with all the mods and the way it performs, I just can't justify for it any reason.

May you enjoy another 175K trouble free miles and thanks for posting.

Glad to hear, and I hope in the next 4to 5 years I am saying the same thing.

If you just come on here you would think they all break.
Reminds me of the first week I worked at a ford Dealership as a mechanic (mid 80's), I though dang I don't want to buy a ford, they all break just look at all the broken down fords here

Very nice. Good to see a post like this. Looks like you used it as a truck and still keeps doing well for you. I hope mine goes strong like this for that long.
