16 light replacement options
I'm sure this question has been asked 100 times over. If so I'm sorry. I just bought a 16 f150 xlt. First dark night realized that the headlights and fog lights are dimmer than hell. I have heard numerous rumors that you can't simply just go buy a HID light kit or plug in some LED lights. I've heard rumors that if you do that you will have all kinds of weird issues with other lights and warnings. I desperately need to replace these horrible stock bulbs. But I don't have the money to go drop 600 bucks on a fancy set that claim are the only ones that work in the newer trucks. So any direction from you guys would be huge.
If you're on a tight budget, Sylvania Silverstars will improve your visability. You won't get near factory OEM LED or a HID retrofit, but it will be better than stock and more reliable than the super cheap HID bulbs/ballasts kits. Some guys on here have had good luck with LED bulbs as well.

Hello, you can upgrade your headlights and fogs to led's. There are companies like 4x4 truck LED's to name of that sell the plug and play kits. Also as another option for the fogs you can go with the Morimoto fogs that is a direct replacement housing. Here is my set in action -Morimoto 2Stroke LED(5000K) - Morimoto XB F2 Fogs(5500K)
Check out this thread...I did my fogs as outlined in the thread only because they're easy to get to. So far no problems. After this mod, I use my fogs like driving lights. Lou
