Also, mine is a 2016 with 126k miles

Luckily I had a couple months remaining on my Ford Premium care warranty. Full transmission replacement. They said a new torque converter would have done the trick but the converters are backordered months and they could get the whole transmission delivered in 5 days. Not sure what had to happen behind the scenes but my service advisor said he would get in touch with Ford and see if they would authorize full replacement, and they did. I really assumed they would tell me to kick rocks and deal with it until they got the part but I was pleasantly surprised to get it done so quick.

How did you fix your issue? Were there any other signs?
thanks in advance.
For me it happened most commonly at those speeds (40-65) but more than anything it was just low rpm with a slight load. Cruising at 80 it would do it too on a slight incline. Sometimes at 25-30 under the same conditions. If I put my foot into it, it’d go away. Never shuddered under moderate or heavy acceleration, or if I manually dropped a gear and ran it higher in the RPMs.

If an engine runs Lean under light throttle, misfire can result if a Coil can't fire that Lean mixture.
This is more prevalent on an engine with an Egr valve that is commanded to open under those conditions.
To aggravate it further, when the throttle is opened just a bit more, the Leanness gets even Leaner and shows up a faulty coil.
WHY?
A very Leam mixture requires much higher Coil voltage to fire.
If a Coil is low in reserve voltage, misfires result and you feel them because the drive line is already locked up and the Ignition timing retards on top of it, making if feel worse.
Since this condition is not a hard fault, it comes and goes, no code will be set because th Program cancels the request until the next time and happens all over again.
However, there is a record kept in MODE 6 History of all the misfires that should point to the cylinder with the faulty coil.
Good luck.
