'15 Ecoboost engine/transmission bucking
Fired my truck up this afternoon and right away the engine sputtered and on came the check engine light and wrench.
Thought it was weird since it drove just fine the night before. Took it around the block and when I gave it some gas the truck didn't move at all, then the transmission engaged and rolled ahead.
Took a lot of time to start switching gears and the 2-3 upshift hit really hard, kind of like a hardcore shift kit.
The engine would lose power and kick right back in.
Called the dealership and the service department said I would have to wait till Tuesday for an appointment and they don't have any loaner vehicles in the meantime.
Not happy with that I called the sales manager who I bought the truck from (Good family friend) and he put me in a '17 Fusion as a long term test drive At least I can drive to work tmw without any hassle.
Truck only has 21,000 kms (13,000 miles)
Hopefully I get some insight on Monday, service rep said lots of rodent damage has been seen lately and that isn't covered under warranty or ESP. Would have to go through insurance if that's the case.
