Default 1234yf to 134a conversion

Has anyone here done the conversion on these trucks? I have a 2018 3.5 that I just dropped a new motor into and need to recharge the AC system.

i didn’t realize the new 1234yf cost a damn arm and a leg and have seen people do the conversions online, but just wanted to make sure I’m not going to ruin anything before I do it.

I know some compressors oil needs to be changed before the conversion, and some oils are backwards compatible. Does the compressor oil need to be swapped on our vehicles?

Anyway, has anyone here made the conversion? If so, how has it held up? And any tips before I go ahead and do the switch? Thanks

What's the price difference between the two that would justify the time and expense to do an illegal conversion for a one-time recharge that will ruin the resale value of your truck?
