110v plug
We went on a road trip so I rigged up a monitor and gaming console for my son. Unfortunately every time a door opens the 110v inverter outlet shuts off. This was extremely frustrating for my son because he would loose progress ect.
Is there any way to keep the power on when the door opens?

Well yes there is.
If you shut the engine off, then go back to assessory position, the power points should remain powered for a programmed amount of time depending on the year and model of the truck.
If you open the door, that cut off should be overridden.
All the trucks are set up this way to minimize a run down battery letting you stranded.
All power is delivered through a logic and fused module that is time controlled.
If you defeat this and run a battery down, your fault.
Good luck.

Engine must be running for the 120V inverter to work.
I did the 12v always hot mod for the sear seat. I have a 12v to 110v inverter that would stay powered when the door opens but it has a fan the you can hear.
The battery backup is a good idea. I was hoping not to spend any extra money because I'll nee it for fuel!!!
