Default 10R80 Cost to replace

How much did it cost to have Ford replace your 10r80?
Also does anyone know if there is documentation stating what all they replace in their rebuild transmissions?

Every part charged to that work order will be on the invoice. Figure on an average cost of about 8k for the dealer to rebuild a 10r80

My rebuild cost 7k, there is quite an extensive list of parts used in the rebuild. The most important part of getting a good rebuild is finding a highly competent technician that can work on the 10r80 transmission.

I agree, but unlike Dr office, there are not reviews of transmission technicians on Google, so silly question, how does one find a highly competent technician?

well for me, I shopped around, called around to find a good transmission shop, and then plus I talked to the actual tech to see if they were comfortable with a 10r80 transmission. There were several Transmission shops that wouldn’t even touch the. 10r80. Fortunately, the one that I found turned out to have a pretty good history of working on that specific Transmission. Yes you can find reviews on transmission shops. Maybe not individual technicians and then from there talk to them find out what kind of experience they have working on those transmissions
