Hi all, I recently purchased a 2022 Lariat that is spotless, with the exception of the tailgate. It has a few dents in it that will eventually drive me crazy. The price to get pulled out/fixed is more than finding a used gate and having it painted and transferring over the hardware IMO. A new gate is $750 in Canada so I went to the marketplace. Based on my VIN, the part No. is ML3Z-9940700-Q. (no step, no applique)

I found a brand new takeoff gate from a 2024 from a place that installs liftgates. The gate is from an XLT, so no step or applique. They seem convinced it is the same, however, looking at fitment for ML3Z-9940700-Q, it only lists the 2024 lightning ... not the XLT.

I would appreciate any advise from someone with more expertise in this area. Thanks!
