Scuff Repair
Hello all,
I've got a scuff about 3 inches tall by 6 inches long on my passenger bedside. It looks as if its a light grey material. I don't think its penetrated the paint coat. My body work skills are awful. I looked online and saw recmmend Meguires ultimate compound. Any one have any ideas besides polishing/rubbing compounds? I don't want to take chance at swirls,/scratches.

If it's just a paint transfer, which is what it sounds like. Buffing will get rid of it. At my work we just wash it off with lacquer thinner, and polish it. But if your hesitant, try clay bar. I used it when i got hit with one of those tire retreads on the highway, and didn't have a job yet.
