Would you buy a diesel F150?

i thought we were talking about light duty diesels in pickups, sorry lol
the powerstroke was made by international... international made the 6.9, 7.3 IDI, 7.3 PSD, 6.O PSD, and the 6.4 PSD. all international, branded powerstroke. the new 6.7 is ford's in house diesel

sold as a ford powerstroke. made by international. they parted ways after all the 6.0 and 6.4 issues costing ford so much money in warranty work and the bad reputation

The only way I'd buy a diesel F150 is if Ford could remake something as reliable and bulletproof as the 7.3, but because of this emmisions crap, I dont know if that could ever happen. I cant say anything on the 6.7, only because I havent had much experience with them. However, the 6.0 were garbage (EGR, oil cooler, gaskets, etc) right off the lot and the 6.4 still have problems (radiator, EGR, etc). Once the right mods are made to these engines theyre great, but that requires thousands of dollars. I'll stand by the 7.3 forever.

We need the 4.4 diesel from the Range Rover. Basically already a Ford product.
2011 Model Year Range Rover 4.4 litre TDV8
Price: £81,500
Engine/transmission: 4.4 litre twin-turbocharged V8 diesel paired with ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and Land Rover permanent four-wheel drive system
Top speed: 130mph
0-60mph: 7.5 seconds
Consumption (official combined cycle test): 30.1mpg

There was a 4.4 PSD V6 for awhile. Never put in LT's but it was in the european style cab overs.
The 7.3 IDI and 7.3 PSD are two different engines. That's why the 88-94 7.3's don't have Powerstroke badging.

Maybe it was a 4.5...I don't remember. They don't fit many transmissions though. I don't think there is even an adapter plate for the 4R100 like you can get for B series Cummins (which bolt up to the M5R2 and 4R70W without an adapter). It's also not very popular because it is a electronically controlled engine which is just a turn off for many people doing an engine swap.

mostly true. I have a 94 7.3l Direct injection diesel which in 95 was badged the PSD.
