I use Castrol Edge 5W20 synthetic in my '10 5.4L, but I wish I didn't. after 10,000 miles on it I see no difference over the MC synthetic blend.

I just bought the F-150 with the 3.5 EcoBoost, but everything else I own gets Mobil 1 and it's sort of silly how long the stuff lasts when using it (I have a push lawnmower that just won't die).

YMMV, but it works for me.

I use synthetic in everything I own. Ask any race mechanic or most anybody who messes w engines. When they break down a motor that has been running syn they are very clean. In the Harley world there have been many test because they run so hot and the syn let's them run cooler and as someone stated it just doesn't break down like conventional does
