Default Surging Idle???

I have a 2004 (new body style) 150 with a 4.6 automatic. I have a CEL, I believe it's P0506, Idle Air low speed. The truck is surging in idle and when I turn on the A/C it will die at stop lights and such. So I found out today that the truck has no Idle Air Control Valve at Autozone, book said to replace the Throttle Position Sensor...which the truck has two of them. Does anyone know which one I should replace? The black plastic one on the right of the throttle body or the big metal looking one on the left side(which autozone doesn't show in their computer?) Any help is greatly appericated

According to the 04 wiring diagrams, your 4.6L engine has an IAC. It has two wires, dk blu/yel and org/yel. Am thinking autozone is incorrect.

I got it fixed. Believe it or not, Wal-Mart said the battery was bad, so I buy a new battery, and I'll be, problem solved! Never knew a battery would still crank the vehicle, but not run everything else Thanks for the help

a low battery will not cause at p0506 dtc and a 2004 does not have a iac it has a electronic throttle body that controls idle also both tps sensor are housed in same sensor sounds like you need to clean your throttle body (has air flow restriction)
