Default Straight pipes

When people say they have straight pipes does that mean they arent using a muffler, its just an exhaust without a muffler.

Its a little more than that. You still have resonators, catalytic converters and anything else that is in the way. For sure the term straight is anything but that.

having striaght pipes is ILLEGAL because you are supposed to have a muffler. However, depending on where you live, its not that big of a deal. If you have an F-150 that has 4 cats cutting the second two off will not affect the o2 sensors or warnings lights and make the truck louder
