Since there are understandably a lot of negative comments on any forum like this I thought I would make a positive post.
I have a 2018 XLT with the 3.3L Ti-VCT and 6-speed transmission. This is by far the smoothest shifting transmission I have owned. I've made a point of listening and feeling for the shifts. Most of the time there is no indication a shift has occurred except for the tach showing rpm change and the mid-dash shift indicator. I don't feel or hear a pause from the transmission nor do I hear any engine speed change. Unless I am accelerating hard. Then not much.
It's very impressive.

I personally think the 6-speed transmission is a better transmission than the 10-speed.
