Default Performance Rebuild Help

I want rebuild my 2v 4.6 from my 03 f150 for preformance. In essence to turbo charge. I’m wondering how in depth this will go. I’ve replaced many parts on motors but never torn one apart.
Summit racing has a kit with forged internals. Will these parts swap right in? Will I need to bore out my cylinder heads. I don’t want to stroke it out if possible but I’m guessing that depends on the kit I get.
Also looking at Cams from COMP any suggestions would be appreciated. Simply put will a forged kit swap right in? I don’t want to start buying kits and then when I take it too get done my parts are wrong. I’m asking solely about internal parts. Any info or suggestions would be awesome.
Also should I skip the hassle and get a motor from MMR? If so it should swap right in correct?

You probably dont want your transmission to be a weak link if you upgrade power, so consider that in conjunction with engine mods, or expensive lesson will be learned.

And you might as well put in 5.4 if going thru all the trouble.

I have a t45 in it, just need a stronger input shaft. Also I like the sound of a 4.6 way better than a 5.4 never had good luck with a 5.4 anyways.

Wait a minute. Did you ask if you need to bore out the cylinder heads?

You are very close to a race shop I recommend, and I recommend you consult with them before buying any parts. Fast Forward Race Engines.

Tell them your goal and your platform, and they can probably ballpark what you're gonna need to spend to do it right. Decide from there.
