Default Oil Pump Screen/Filter mounting bracket

Hi everyone,

1983 Ford F150 (302 5.0)

I just replaced my oil pump and filter but I'm having a hard time locating the mounting bolt/stud on the bottom of the crankcase to install the oil screen/filter. Can you guys point me in the right direction. Currently I only see bolts in the crankcase, there are no studs/nuts etc...

Thanks!

FYI: I was able to purchase the Stud at a Ford parts dealer, $38 later!

$38!!!!!! That's robbery for a stud and nut. Sheesh.... Try a local fastener store or online. I wouldn't buy it from Ford.

I am not going to support the charge for the bolt required, i think that is absolutely reduculous. As an after thought, an engine rebuild shop, a junk yard or perhaps even having a normal main bearing bolt fitted with a stud.

Sorry Bud, good luck and hope everything else works out.
