more power

does anyone know how the 04 - 07 f150 makes 300 hp while the older only makes 265. I have a 02 fx4 and would love to make mine 300hp. is it done by engine internals or by the cpu????

The 04s to 07s had a different CPU to include different and more sensors on the engine. You can’t just swap CPUs (that would be too easy – Thanks Ford).

I guess you could change engines and CPUs at the same time.

i was hopen for an easier alternative lol like the just swaping cpu

A tuner should net ya 15ish HP a Cold air intake is good for 5 and exhaust is good for 5 if ya do a catback. IF you remove the cats you can get another 5 or so easy. thats 30.
