2000 ford v8. Lifter makes noise until warmed up. I use 5-30 (recommended) should I switch to a higher viscosity 10-30 or?

 

That drove my dad nuts. He took it to the dealer and they said it is just the loose tolerances. It was actually piston slap, not the lifters. I have the truck now and have put over 100k more miles on it. It has not gotten any worse or better.
