Default help-missing sensor cable during swap 5.4l

can anyone identify this sensor/valve, or more importantly where is the cable for it? i'm swapping out motors in my 97 5.4, and cant find the connector for it. the second photo shows the old engine out with the engine harness on it still. the cable i point to i have going to the head temperature sensor, which is where i swear it should go. but its almost the only connector i can think of that would go to this mystery sensor. only problem is i cant just try it easily as the head temperature sensor is under the intake manifold which i have on again, with the engine in the truck. i'm confused!

That is the Idle Air Control Valve. I'm not sure where the source of the connector for it is.
