A quick easy way is to look at your door jamb sticker. On the bottom there will be a section that says "axle". Under "axle" there will be 2 numbers or a letter & a number.
The codes are as follows.
19 – 3.55 Non-LS
18 – 3.08 Non-LS
H9 – 3.55 LS
B6 – 3.73 LS
LS= limited Slip
most common for your truck would be a 3.55.
