Hi everyone in F150 land! I just bought a 2000 F150 Supercab from a close friend, it has 390,000 km (295,000 miles approx) on it, solid as can be has full maintenance records and oil changes every 3,000 km (2,600 miles approx) "Mostly Highway" I know that a engine change and possibly wisdom would dictate transmission too. My Question is what are the most practical replacement options? Would it require major mods to swap in a 5.4L or can they be interchanged fairly easily? and of the new generation engines is there any that can be swapped in without to much trouble?
